I'm burning 2xBDR50 on 2020 M1 MacBook Air 16GB running Ventura 13.2.1. Although Apples drive is DVD only, I have an LG and pioneer BDR and both works as expected for burning directly in Finder without additional software. But to be honest, it gave an ugly DVD without beautiful menu, which is a dealbreaker for me since the DVDs are for somewhat of a professional purpose.
